Top-seeded David Ferrer made a terrific start to his quarterfinal match on Thursday against qualifier Igor Sijsling of Netherlands and mustered a straight sets 6-0 6-1 victory in the end to storm into the semi-final of this ATP World Tour 250 Event, being played here in s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.
Igor Sijsling was all over the place from the very beginning of the match and he failed to get any sort of momentum – throughout the duel and also conceded a bagel in the first set. Ferrer played an error free game and looked way ahead of his opponent, who struggled a lot and failed to put any pressure on the top-seed.

Just after 24 minutes of play in the first set, Ferrer clinched it. The top-seeded Spaniard made a commanding start to the match and continued to dictate terms until he completed a first set bagel here. Sijsling never really looked in control in the first set and fared poorly in quick rallies. The trend continued in the second-set too and Ferrer raced to a 5-0 lead before Sijsling could win his first game of the match. Finally the Spaniard sailed home – on a comprehensive note.
