Roger Federer – the most well known tennis player on the face of this planet celebrated his birthday with his two daughters and wife. The World No.1 thanked fans for their love and wishes through facebook.

The 17-time Grand Slam champion posted on his facebook account that, “Enjoying some time off. Thank you so much for all your kind wishes for my birthday and all your loyal support always!”

Fans although were disappointed with his pulling put of the on going Rogers Cup, but understand as Roger is now a family man and needs time with his two young daughters. After three long months of non-stop top quality tennis, the Swiss needs a break. Also with the US Open beckoning, there is no rest on the horizon.

Federer's fitness is second to none, and even at 31 the Swiss Maestro is ready for more. He has now accomplished virtually every tennis singles record, but the passion just doesn't die with the World No.1

The only chunk in his armour is that singles' Olympic Gold medal which he was denied on Sunday by the ever-rising Andy Murray. Roger pledged to participate in the Rio Olympics in 2016, if his body permits him.

The Swiss star is expected to start practice at this weekend as he has to participate at the Western and Southern Open in the next week.
