Its been the same old story for the Swiss Legend at this year's Gerry Weber Open as always. Federer has reached the final after defeating Philipp Petzschner in the semi final. Federer is yet to drop a set in the tounament. He is looking as confident as ever on grass with comfortable wins over the likes of Nieminen and Kohlschreiber. In the other part of the draw, the Aussie Veteran has been blazing in good form as he managed to crush the local favourite Benjamin Becker in a nail biting three set match to set up a much awaited final against Roger Federer.

Hewitt though, does not have an impressive head-to-head record against the Swiss champ. The last time Hewitt defeated Federer was way back in 2003. After that its been Federer all the way as he has recorded 15 consecutive wins over the Aussie star. Federer is currently leading Lleyton Hewitt with a win-loss record of 17-7 as far as the head-to-head tally is concerned. Hewitt, on the other hand, has been in superb form, losing just a set enroute to the final.
The last time both the legends met was during this year's Australian Open at round of 16 where Federer emerged the winner in straight sets with no tie-breakers involved. Hewitt will have to raise the bar and get back to his flawless form to club it with his fiery determination in order to get past Federer. On the other hand Federer has to maintain his calm and cool self and do what he always does best to surpass the aggressive Aussie. Whatever the result, the Gerry Weber Final of 2010 will surely be a moment to remember and would carry on its effects to this year's Wimbledon Championships.
