Federer, Murray, DelPotro in same group at World Tour Finals

World number one Roger Federer will confront U.S. Open champion Juan Martin del Potro and Andy Murray in the round-robin matches of the group A at ATP World Tour Finals, London.

World number one Roger Federer will confront U.S. Open champion Juan Martin del Potro and Andy Murray in the round-robin matches of the group A at ATP World Tour Finals, London.

The Spaniard Fernando Verdasco is also in the same group.

“Obviously, I look forward to playing Roger,” Murray said. “I’ve played Juan a few times on the tour recently and also had a close match recently with Verdasco indoors in Valencia.”

The group B feature Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Nikolay Davydenko and Robin Soderling.

The top two players in each group will reach to the semifinals of the  tournament, which starts Sunday at the O2 Arena situated alongside the River Thames. The final is set for Nov 29.

In the doubles, Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic, Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles, Frantisek Cermak and Michal Mertinak, and Max Mirnyi and Andy Ram are in Group A.

While, Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, Lukas Dlouhy and Leander Paes, Lukasz Kubot and Oliver Marach, and Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski are in Group B.

“We're really excited to be playing in the tournament at such a great venue. We went to see Beyonce on Monday night at The O2 and the place rocked. Every match from the first to the last is going to be really tough and we're looking forward to the challenge." said Bob Bryan.
