A man named Donnie, an American impersonator of the 17 times Grand Slam champion Roger Federer who resides in Shanghai appeared on the streets of the financial capital of China and tricked people into believing that he was indeed Roger Federer.

In China there’s a saying that all white man look the same and Donnie captured the maximum advantage of this aphorism as he took to the roads of Shanghai wearing a pair of sunglasses, a headband and an identical tennis attire which the Swiss sports and the response he got was nothing less than the former World No.1 as the people failed to recognize that he wasn’t Roger Federer.

The 32 year old Federer is extremely popular in the land of the Red Dragon and has always cherished his time spent in the country. He has won two of his six ATP World Tour Finals titles in the Asian nation back in 2003 and 2004 and was a finalist at the Shanghai Rolex Masters in 2011. At this year’s tournament, he organized a fans meet inside the Flower Stadium in the city and selected two fans to present him a placard that read “I Believe In U Roger!” – The congregation received an overwhelming response as it was attended by more 10,000 fans on the day.
