Venus Williams has won more trophies at the All England Club than any other active player, but this just wasn't her year. She lost in straight sets to Russian Elina Vesnina who looked in supreme touch. It wasn't just the defeat that was surprising it was also the manner in which the former World No.1 lost her match. She lost 6-1,6-3 and was never in the match. It wasn't the biggest upset, as the 5 time champion had only returned from injury in March after a seven-month lay off due to Sjögren’s Syndrome.
