It will be a repeat of last year's final showdown between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, who humbled Roger Federer in straight sets 6-2, 7-6(4) in 1 hour 50 minutes. The match was very intense with a lot of twists and turns.
Djokovic blasted his way through the opening set in 35 minutes. With the match being played at a very high pace, it was more of Federer's 19 errors that did the trick in this set. Djokovic also showed some great retrieving skills, always forcing Federer to hit 1 more shot and that lead to Federer's errors. Djokovic broke twice out of three chances.
The second set was a very interesting affair, with both players raising their level. At 5-4, Djokovic was serving for the match, only to see that advantage go away. Both players did not give away anything and when the tie-breaker started, Djokovic took the lead from the start and an finished it in style.
It will be blockbuster final as Nadal would be seeking revenge whereas Djokovic would be aiming to reaffirm is authority.
