Reigning champion Novak Djokovic was in scintillating nick as he absolutely annihilated mercurial Czech Lukas Rosol in the second round of the Miami Masters today. The Serb seemed to have no limits today, as he played his shots moving the Czech from side to side at will.
The Serb smashed 21 winners and 4 fired aces en route to that 6-1,6-0 win.
Novak made the perfect start to the match, as he held on to serve and did so with a swagger. The Serb, continued the assault on the return of serve too as he got the early break and soon saw himself leading 3-0 in the set. Rosol finally got a foot-hole in the set as he got a service hold, after some big serving in the fourth game, but it was the only game that the Czech could win as Djokovic got another service break to take the set 6-1 in the end.
The second set started off with a service break for the Serb, as he continued his assault on the Czech. A couple of games later, Djokovic had another service break and took a 3-0 lead in the second set too. The Serb had now made it six games in a row, and he wasn’t done just yet. The Serb got yet another break of serve to lead 5-0 in the second set, before finally holding on to serve to close out the match.
