Top seeded and defending champion Novak Djokovic won an all-Serbian clash against Janko Tipsarevic 6-4, 6-1 in Toronto to reach the final of Rogers Cup.
Djokovic broke Tipsarevic first when he was serving to stay in the first set and then twice in the second set to wrap the match in straight sets. Djokovic arrowed 3 aces, 24 winners and converted 3 out of 5 break points in the match and benefited from 31 unforced errors made by Tipsarevic.

Djokovic will next face Frenchman Richard Gasquet, who edged past eight seeded American John Isner 7-6(3), 6-3 earlier in the day.
“The key of the match was to return well, and I did it. I tried to return all the time to make him play,” said Gasquet. “Then I like to defend. But of course I had to do a big tie-break, and I did it. I played incredible in the tie-break and then I felt well.”
