Dementieva pulls out from Wimbledon
World No 5 Russian Elena Dementieva has pulled out from next week's Wimbledon because of leg injury

 

Fifth seeded Elena Demetieva of Russia has pulled out of The Championships, Wimbledon with a calf injury.

Dementieva got injured at French Open this year and was forced to retire from her semi-final match against eventual winner Francesca Schiavone.

The Russian said on her official website "(I) will not play at Wimbledon this year"

Dementieva will be replaced by world No 121 Maria Elena Camerin in the main draw, which takes place on Friday.

Wimbledon starts on Monday.
