After almost one year, Argentine Juan Martin Del Potro is in news once again, this time because of the sepculations surrounding his return to the Big Apple to defend his maiden Grand Slam triumph from last year. Del Potro defeated Roger federer in five gruelling sets to claim his first ever major at the US Open in 2009.
Del Potro injured himself at the onset of the 2010 season and after losing a fourth round match at the Australian Open to Marin Cilic, decided to sit by the sidelines. A right wrist surgery followed in May after which his plans to defend his title in New York are in jeopardy.
"I haven't picked up a racquet yet so I can't tell an exact date," del Potro clarified thorugh his Twitter account. "When I know I'll tell you the news here. I'm improving, that's a good thing."

Agreed with Gabyss. I hope Delpotro does not become the 1 hit wonder, whether due to the lack of capability or physical endurance.

I dont think he will get past the second round also he's been out of action for the most part, n i dont think its that easy to defend the title.
