Argentina's talisman – Juan Martin Del Potro had a torrid last week. The lanky right hander suffered a wrist injury and had to pull out of his decisive Davis Cup match against Tomas Berdych in the Davis Cup. TO recuperate from the injury and the trauma, the former US Open champion took a few days off and went wishing in Santa Fe and San Javier with some friends.
"He was very biased at all times and very friendly," said one of the employees of the supermarket. The World No.8 stayed in a cabin Sausalito, Neighborhood Agreste. He came into the store quite low, but went back smiling as the warmth of the people lifted his spirits.
The Argentine had annonced before the Davis Cup semifinals that he would ignore the doctor and just play the series. But that decision back fired as the injury aggravated, Del Potro then had to withdraw. The Olympic Bronze medallist sports an immobilized left wrist for ten days.
Argentina have drawn Germany for the 2013 Davis Cup, and Del Potro will surely be a part of that.
