Defending champion Serena Williams showed the world that why she is considered the most dominant force in women's tennis as she edged past former World No 1 Justine Henin 6-4 3-6 6-2 to win the final of Women's Australian Open for the record fifth time.

She grooved in the first set and looked hard to stop but she went off the track in the second set as Henin levelled the match scores at one set all.
However she regained her composure in the third set and closed the deciding set 6-2 to successfully defend the title.
