He is not blessed with any particular gift that could have changed the course of his careers – from the very start, but there is no point cribbing about something which is not in your control, when you can defy all the odds with your iron will. Yes, nothing comes easy for him, but when it comes to giving in that last ounce of energy in every duel – David Ferrer is one name that obviously comes forth. This Spaniard is an epitome of resilience and perseverance, but more than that for any tennis lover, he comes across as a humble human being, who knows how to make a mark in this cruel competitive world.
Like a typical Spaniard, David Ferrer likes to play on clay and has achieved much of his career success on dirt, but this defiant warrior has adapted his game to a great extent over a period of time – and no one on tour can afford to go a bit complacent against him – on any surface.
On Friday, David Ferrer added another chapter to his illustrious career by joining Roger Federer at the head of the 2012 Match-wins Leader-Board. The Spaniard beat Alex Bogomolov at the Malaysian Open on Friday and joined Roger Federer on the forefront.
With that victory, Ferrer added 61st win to his name in 2012, while also claiming five titles this season. The Spaniard took only 83 minutes to beat Bogomolov in Kuala Lumpur.

Always have a lot of time for David. This should be no problem for him. I hope!

Good for David, he is a little terrier and deserves to do well. Not living in Rafa's shadow for the last couple of months has given him a little more confidence I think. Good show.
