Brace yourself for an exciting round-robin contest of the 2012 Tournament of Championships featuring World No. 16 Roberta Vinci and World No. 32 Daniela Hantuchova. It is the finale for the WTA's International Series, with the six highest-ranked players who have won an International title this year - and two wildcards - in the eight-woman field.

Currently ranked as World No. 16 in the WTA Rankings, Roberta Vinci has been pretty successful on tour this season in doubles. Her singles performance has not been at par with her doubles-partner Sara Errani, who participated in the recently concluded WTA Championships at Istanbul. Vinci has won a WTA title this season and has a decent 42-26 win-loss record for the season. The Italian is gunning for seventh career title.

Vinci’s opponent Hantuchova has had her share of injuries, which affected her performance badly. Still, the Slovak has a good 26-21 win-loss record for the season. She had to miss-out many key tournaments this season, but managed to win a single WTA title.

In head-to-head, both contenders stand even with 2-2. Last time they met earlier in the start of the season this year in Sydney, where Hantuchova topped the Italian in straight sets.
