Fernando Gonzalez of Chile took his country into the Davis Cup quarterfinals after he defeated Dudi Sela of Israel 6-4 6-4 6-3 to give the South Americans an unassailable 3-1 lead in the best of five matches tie on Monday.
In the second inconsequential match of the day Jorge Aguilar of Chile beat Harel Levy of Israel 7-6 (3) 6-1.
