Tenth seeded Dane Caroline Wozniacki takes on Slovakian Daniela Hantuchova in the second round match at Pan Pacific Open, Tokyo on Tuesday.
Wozniacki started the year as No.1 and is presently ranked at No.11 on the WTA charts. In the first Grand Slam this year - the Australian Open, she lost to Belgian veteran Kim Clijsters in the quarterfinals. and then suffered first round exits at the Wimbledon and the US Open.
Wozniacki won her first title of the season at Korea Open last Saturday and has announced her return to the winner's circle. Her win-loss record stands at 37-18 this year.
Her opponent - Hantuchova opened the season with a place in the final at Brisbane, reached QF at Sydney and then 3rd at Australian Open. She won her fifth WTA title at Pattaya City and made into the quarter-finals at Dubai. At Indian Wells and Miami, she fell early and withdrew from Stuttgart because of a foot injury. She skipped Roland Garros because of the injury and fell in the first round of Wimbledon. She lost in the first round of U.S Open also and is playing in her first tournament since then.
Both players have met five times before and Wozniacki leads 4-1 in head to head series. Last time they met at Olmpics this year, where Wozniacki won in straight sets.

Well after a great first set, what a shame Dani just totally lost her way. Credit to Caro, she's having a good few weeks finally this year.
