Former World No.1 Caroline Wozniacki crushed her French opponent Alize Cornet 6-0, 6-3 in just over an hour to reach the semi-final of the E-Boks Sony Ericsson Open being played in Copenhagen, Denmark.
A bagel for Wozniacki as she won the first set 6-0 in 26 minutes. A low first serve percentage for Wozniacki at 53% but she converted all 3 break point opportunities, courtesy the 15 unforced errors from the Cornet racquet. Wozniacki hit 4 winners in the first set to put her opponent in tremendous pressure.
The second set was comparatively a closer one, with Wozniacki taking a 3-0 lead. But a late resurgence from Cornet saw her hold three service games with ease to force Wozniacki to serve out the match which she did easily to move into the semi-final and also keep her unbeaten streak going on here.
