The American duo of twin brothers Bob and Mike Bryan clinched their fourth Australian Open men's doubles final with a thrilling three sets win over second seeds and current Wimbledon champion Nenad Zimonjic and Daniel Nestor.
Bryans started the match on a good note and soon raced to a 5-3 lead with the help of a break in the seventh game on Zimonjic's serve to eventually win it by 6 games to 4.
The second set began with Zimonjic/Nestor taking an early break lead at 3-1, which Bryan twins soon squandered and levelled the set at 3-3. The set went into a tie-break where despite a 5-2 lead, Bryans failed to close the match.
The deciding third set brought a crucial break of serve in the fourth game which they duly consolidated and never looked back to close the 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-3 victory and successfully defend the title they won last year as well.
This is Bob and Mike Bryans eighth Grand slam title and the fourth Aussie Open crown. With the win, Bryans collected the winner's check of AUD 450,000.
