After beating the Russian Ekaterina Bychkova, Elena Baltacha qualifies for Indian Wells main draw

Elena Baltacha beat Ekaterina Bychkova with a 6-3 6-4 scoreline to qualify for the main draw of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California. Baltacha stuck well to her game plan and didn't give many chances to the Russian.

Now, Baltacha will play American wild-card entrant Alexa Glatch. Alexa is ranked almost 100 places beneath Baltacha. Their match is scheduled on Wednesday.

After making it into the main draw of the two WTA Tour tournaments in January, Baltacha advanced into the third round of the Australian Open. She also won the biggest title of her career at the Dow Corning Classic in Midland, United States, in February.
