Freshly crowned winner of ATP Challenger in Heilbronn, German player Michael Berrer, produced yet another victory against fifth-seeded Serbian Janko Tipsarevic, winning five consecutive games after trailing 1-3 in the second set and has advanced to the 2nd round of PBZ Zagreb Indoors. He scored the biggest upset of the day, winning 7-6(5), 6-3.
Berrer will now play Croatian wild card Petar Jelenic on Thursday for a place in the quarterfinals. Jelenic defeated Serbian Llija Bozoljac 7-6(6), 7-5 playing in the first-ever match on Tour level.
It was a very successful day for German players with Benjamin Becker and Philipp Petzschner also advancing to the next round.
