Bernard Tomic is ranked number 58 in the world. On the other hand, Victor Troicki is ranked 16 among ATP rankings.
Tomic has been taking vital victories on major stages in his stride this year. He has been trying to fish out a title on the ATP tour but has not been able to do so yet. He had an amazing run in Wimbledon as he qualified and reached the quarterfinals to defeating the likes to Robin Soderling and Nikolay Davydenko on his way to the last eight. He will try his best to earn as much victories as possible this year in order to start the next with a good global rank.
Troicki has been churning out consistent wins this year. He reached the quarterfinals in Halle and then recorded a spot among the last eight in Washington and booked a place in the semi-finals of the event at Kuala Lumpur. He also had a good run at Monte Carlo this year where he reached the quarterfinals defeating Tommy Robredo in the second round. He will be hoping to raise his bar and record wins over the top ranked players to fish out a top ten spot for himself too.
Both the players have met two times before and Troicki leads the head-to-head at 1-0. The last time they met was this year in Indian Wells where Troicki won in straight sets. Troicki can flatten forehands and can hammer cannon serves. Troicki can work long rallies and can slam backhands at high pace. Troicki should be able to come through in three sets.
