Tomic has had a erratic year as his win/loss record stands at 13/7. He started the year on a high in the Brisbane Open where he reached the last four, losing to eventual winner Andy Murray. In the Australian Open he reached the round of 16, where he scummed to Roger Federer. He started the clay court season on a disappointing note losing in the second round of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters. He will be looking to resurrect his season in the upcoming Barcelona Open.
