Former World No. 1 Andy Roddick makes his second appearance in Winston-Salem after reaching the semi-finals in 2011. Roddick is fully aware that his glory days are past him, but his ability to fight and his passion for the sport are unquestionable. The big serving right hander has a win-loss record of 19-14 this year and is chasing his third ATP World Tour title of the season.
His opponent: Belgian Steve Darcis has two ATP World Tour career titles to his name and has 17/14 win loss record this year.
Both the players have met twice before and Roddick has won both of them. Today also, Roddick is a firm favourite to win the clash.
