Fresh from gold medal triumph at the 2012 London Olympics, second seeded Andy Murray of Great Britain takes on home favourite Milos Raonic in the third encounter at Rogers Cup, Toronto.
Murray is gunning for his third Rogers cup title. He triumphed here in 2009 and 2010 but made a shocking second-round exit last season by losing out to Kevin Anderson of South Africa. Murray is one of the favorites to clinch the title with top-seeded Novak Djokovic. Andy Murray has been enjoying a decent form in the ongoing season. He has claimed two titles so far in 2012 and has a very good 38-10 win-loss record this season.
His opponent- Raonic has good 29-12 win-loss record for the season so far and has been improving consistently since making his debut on the ATP World Tour. He has already claimed two ATP titles in San Jose and Chennai this year and is gunning for his fourth career title.
Both the players have met once at Barcelona, where Raonic managed to beat Murray in straight sets.
