Andy Murray gets ready to play the Barcelona Open but has a tricky task at hand when he faces Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukraine in the second round.
Murray, fresh from a quarter-final loss to Tomas Berdych at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters, would be looking to get himself settled here fast to go deep into the tournament. With a 19-5 win-loss record in 2012, the World No.4 is seeded second here and would be aiming to do justice to his seeding. He is also gunning to win his second title of the season as he looks to overtake Roger Federer for the No.3 spot.
On the other hand, Stakhovsky has had a rather disappointing year, with a win-loss record of 6-9 this year. He has failed to string matches together and would be aiming to provide a huge upset early in the tournament. He is ranked 68 on the ATP charts and is looking to rise up the ranks to have a shot at the Olympics.
The two have played thrice with all three meetings going to the Scot and the way their forms are this year, it seems like the Scot looks to be the clear favorite, unless Stakhovsky produces a miracle.
