Polish superstar Agnieszka Radwanska takes on Chinese Kai-Chen Chang for a place in the next round of the 2011 Bank of the West Classic, a WTA premier event being played here in Stanford, USA.
World No.14 Agnieszka Radwanska has enjoyed most success on the hard courts in her career. This year, the Polish star finished quarterfinalist in Australia before giving some memorable performances in Miami and Stuttgart. Radwanska's previous final finish came in San Diego last year where she finished runner up to Svetlana Kuznetsova. Radwanska has 4 WTA singles titles and her last victory came in Eastbourne in 2008.
Radwanska's opponent, Chinese Taipei's Kai-Chen Chang is currently ranked No.147 in the world and has no WTA singles titles to her name. Chang successfully managed to book a berth in Australian Open main draw but fell at the first hurdle, after which she suffered a series of opening round losses in cities like Pattaya, Doha and Birmingham. Chang's best performance to date has been in the ITF circuit where she picked up a singles title in Kurume, Japan in 2008.
This is a first meeting between both players and has Radwanska written all over it. The Pole is in great form this week and is likely to close this match in straight sets.
TennisEarth.com's Pick - Agnieszka Radwanska in two sets.
