ATP Queen's 2013: Juan Martin Del Potro Vs Daniel Evans Round 3 Preview
With a place in the quarterfinals of the Aegon Championships at stake, former US Open champion and third seed for this event Juan Martin Del Potro takes on local boy and wild card entrant Daniel Evans. Both players had really close three set matches in their previous round victories and would be looking to save some energy going deep into the tournament.

After taking out Xavier Malisse in an extremely close three set match, Argentine Juan Martin Del Potro looks to continue his build up to Wimbledon when he faces local boy Daniel Evans in the Third Round of the Aegon Championships. The winner of this match secures a spot in the quarterfinals of this ATP World Tour 250 Event taking place in London.

Having skipped the French Open due to illness, Del Potro looks to gain some much needed confidence going into The Championships and what better way to do so by reaching deep into this tournament. A player with a really big serve and flat forehand, the Argentine’s game is suitable to grass as he packs some power in his overall game.

He started the year with a Third Round exit at the Australian Open and then caught pace to string together 4 power packed performances which saw him first lift his 14th Career title in Rotterdam and also reach the finals of the BNP Paribas Open. Though he failed to impress on the red dirt, he would be looking forward to the remaining season. Coming into this match with an 18-7 win-loss record, the World No.8 would be looking to keep giving some good results and secure a his place in the World Tour Finals.

His opponent, Evans justified the Wild Card that was awarded to him by winning his first two rounds here that includes an impressive victory over Jarkko Nieminen in the previous round. Presently ranked at No.277 in the World, this young Brit would be looking to as much experience as he can from this match as he knows beating a player of Del Potro’s caliber might be a bit tough.

This is their first meeting with Del Potro coming into this match as a crushing favorite.
