With the US Open now concluded, the tennis season is nearing its end. Andy Murray was crowned champion at Flushing Meadows, but he still has a lot of points to defend and as does Roger Federer. Novak Djokovic on the other hand has it all to gain, having not won a single title single title from here on in.
Federer has 3000 points still to defend having won in Paris and London, while Murray is the defending champion at the Shanghai Masters. The first of those Masters take place in Shanghai after the China Open where Djokovic will be in action.
To add to it all, we still have the Davis Cup 2012 finals between defending champions Spain and Czech Republic still to come.

Murray and Nole should be the last ones standing this year.

He does need a bit of a break after this last push.

I can see Andy defending his, but for Federer to to both might be a tough ask. Think he needs a rest.
