Argentina host Czech Republic in the semi-clash of the Davis Cup in Buenos Aires. The second rubber between the two countries is a more electrifying one as it features World No.6 Tomas Berdych, representing the visitors against World No.11 Juan Monaco, playing for the hosts.

Berdych has been high on form, reaching the semi-final of the US Open. One of the biggest hitters on tour, Berdych is one of those players who can challenge the Big 4 and even upset them. With some thunderous serves and really heavy ground strokes, Berdych plays a vital part in the Czech Davis Cup team. With 1 title to his name this year Berdych will aiming to seal his spot in the season ending finale in London.

His opponent has been one of the best performers of 2012. Monaco comes into this tie with the home support behind him.  With three titles this year to his name and all coming on clay, Monaco managed cracking into the elusive Top-10 for the very first time in his career. He has a healthy 33-14 win-loss record in 2012 and would be hoping to give Argentina a crucial point against the Czechs today.
