World No.4 Serena Williams starts her campaign at the Cincinnati Masters when she faces Eleni Daniiliduo in the second round of this WTA Premier level tournament, being played in America.
Williams comes into this tournament with some really threatening form, losing just one match since April. Her only loss came at Roland Garros as she lost in the opening round. She has been ripping her opponent’s apart and had an unbeaten run at All England Club, where she won both Wimbledon and then the London Olympics in both singles and doubles. With a bedazzling 44-3 win-loss record this year, Serena is definitely the woman to beat this season. She is also really inching closer to the elusive World No.1 ranking and would be hoping to get there before the end of this year.
Her opponent, Daniiliduo is ranked 121 in the world has not had a good year so far, with a 12-24 win-loss record in 2012. She has a good forehand and would be hoping it fires in this match. She has a tough task ahead when she faces Serena and would want to cause a big upset in the draw.
The two have faced each other 4 times with Serena having a clean sheet till now. With the form Serena is in, it seems like Serena would continue her dominance over the Greek.
