The five-time US Open champion Roger Federer is all set to take on the talented German Andreas Beck in his second-round match, here at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. Federer started off well in his typical style, as he easily subdued Brian Dabul with a 6-1 6-4 6-2 scoreline, in his opening match.
On the other hand, Beck has not been able to pull out a remarkable victory during this hard-court season. The German defeated Michael Berrer in straight sets to reach the second round. Earlier, Beck lost both his opening matches in Cincinnati qualifying and New Haven on a tame note.

Federer and Beck have never played a head to head match before this contest. It came more as a surprise for many, when Beck earned the straight sets victory in his opening match of the US Open. But, this time he faces Roger Federer.
Undoubtedly, the big serving German can certainly pose some problems for the former world no. 1, but he does not have a heavy-loaded arsenal to earn the most distinguished victory of his career or Federer has to play really bad.
