Serena, the 15-times Grand Slam winner, leads the head-to-head with 11-2 against the Belarusian. The American topped Azarenka in their previous clay-court meeting in Madrid last season, but the tricky factor is that she lost to the Belarusian in their last meeting in Doha. Another interesting factor is that Azarenka is playing in his first final since beating Serena for the title at Doha in February and she would be all set to go full-throttle against the cruising American after coming this far here in Rome.

We bring you the shot-by-shot commentary of the hugely anticipated final, featuring World No. 1 Serena Williams and third-seeded Belarusian Victoria Azarenka.

Hello and welcome to the live match commentary of the 2013 International BNL d'Italia, live from Foro Italico, Rome.
