Resilient Berdych rallies from a set and a break down to overcome Djokovic! In what were unforgettable scenes here at the Campo Centrale, Czech No.1 Tomas Berdych played some unbelievable tennis today as he overcame a barrier that he had failed to cross a number of occasions in the past. With that victory, Tomas registered only his second win over the Serb and his first in almost three years. The sixth seed had the worst possible start, but he did not let his confidence drop and came back from a set and a break down to finally beat his nemesis. The Czech fired 45 winners in that marathon two and half hour match. 

Djokovic outplays Dolgopolov, makes final! The World No.1 was in superb nick today as he completely outwitted the hard hitting Ukrainian. The first set was an absolute disaster for Dolgopolov as the Serb completely dominated him and was able to cash in on the errors that Alexandr committed. Despite him trying to curb the errors, the Serbian was by far the better player in the second set too, as he built on the break he earned early. 26 unforced errors from Dolgopolov coupled with 13 winners of his own were enough for the World No.1 to wrap the match up in exactly an hour.
