Victoria Azarenka

World no.3 Victoria Azarenka survived a second set blip in her match against 9th seed Samantha Stosur to reach her first sem-final at the Italian Open here in Rome. Even though it was an up and down show from the Aussie Open champion, she did just enough in that topsy turvy final set to come out unscathed in an hour and 58 minutes. It was the 38 unforced errors that Australian made that in the end tilted the balance in the favor of the 3rd seed. The Belarusian will now meet the local girl Sara Errani  for a place in Sunday’s showpiece final.
