SOLID START....! Andy Murray delights the home fans with a solid start to his title campaign at the 2009 ATP World Tour finals after outclassing US Open champ Juan Martin Del Potro to win the opening round robin match. Murray pocketed the opener after quite a struggle however, the second set saw the brilliance of the Argentine who levelled the match by winning the second set. The third set saw Murray bounce back intp the match and with a couple of breaks, Murray won the match 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.

Murray's biggest win so far this year is his victory in the final of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami where he edged past Novak Djokovic to lift the trophy.

So after 49 minutes of exciting tennis, which saw both players smack 11 winners each, Andy Murray pocketed the opening set 6 games to 3.
