Third seeded Serbian Novak Djokovic made an astonishing start to his title defense at the year-ending ATP World Tour Championships with a come-from-behind win in the Round Robin match against Nikolay Davydenko, the man whom he beat in the finals last year as well. Djokovic survived a whopping 30 winners from the Russian but played well on key points to pull the hard-fought win in two hours and 46 minutes of gruelling tennis.
