Finally, Na Li managed to defy the strong challenge of  Venus and reached the final at Cincinnati. Both contenders played great tennis, but in the end it was Li who got her act together and beat the former World No. 1 Venus Williams. In more than two hours, the top Chinese contender was pushed to a great extent, but in the end she pulled off a well deserved victory.
