Whoa! What a match! Incredible display of temperament and talent from both players. The match swayed from one side to the other before Lleyton Hewitt held his nerves to break American Sam Querrey at 3-4 and then served out the match 6-1 2-6 6-3 for a place in the quarterfinals against world number one Roger Federer.

The first set was a complete disaster for Querrey who succumbed to Hewitt 1-6 before hitting back in the second in style winning it 6-2 to level the match and take it into the third set.
 
It was all going smooth and it seemed like the tie breakers will decide the fate of the match when a loss of concentration by Querrey was capitalised on by Hewitt who broke him at 4-3 and then served to hold and win the match.

Australian Hewitt BREAKS AGAIN! What a time to earn a break! Hewitt impresses with his high kick serves to which Querrey has no response. The American hits one over the line at 15-40 to give the Australian the very important break. The Australian will serve for the match and a place in the quarter-finals of the tournament.

Hewitt holds it again. This time to love. Is this going to the tie breakers? Or will Hewitt break at a crucial point to surprise Querrey?

Hewitt holds on to his serve by the thread as he jitters to do so. Querrey is proving to be a nemesis in Hewitt's way to the quarterfinals.

Huge serve by Querrey edges Hewitt's racquet and goes into orbit. Querrey then fires an Ace to make it 30-0. A backhand from Hewitt, however, catches Querrey dumbfounded as he levels 30-30 with a gorgeous forehand. Break point for Hewitt at 40-30 but he fails to capitalise. Querrey eventually holds to 40 after a few Deuce happening.

Lleyton Hewitt digs out a fabulous volley at 30-0 to make it three game points and serves to force an error on Querrey later to win the third game and lead 2 games to 1. What does Querrey have in store now? Will he break or will Hewitt prove too good for the American in the third set?

Querrey continues to serve well as he combines his Aces with the well placed shots coupled with a few unforced errors from Hewitt to level the third set at 1-1.

Hewitt struggles to hold his serve as he holds it to game-30. Querrey tests Hewitt's athleticism with a couple of cross court winners at 0-15 and 15-15 but the Aussie manages to scrape through and lead 1-0.
