Hello and welcome to our coverage of Valencia Open, an indoor 500 ATP event.
Today we start with second quarterfinal match of the day between Andy Murray of Britain and Albert Montanes of Spain.
Both the players have met twice before and Murray leads 2-0 in head to head series.
This year proved to very eventful for Murray, who reached his career high No 2 ranking, after after winning his fourth career ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title in Montreal in August. He has managed to capture five ATP world tour titles for the second straight year.
After U.S Open he was sidelned from the action due to wrist injury and is playing in his first tournament since then.
Montanes has won two ATP World Tour titles this year, one in Bucharest and second one in Estoril. He was also forced to sit at the sidelines due to knee injury and returned back in U.S Open.
Murray looks to be a firm favourite to win this one, however his rustinnes which appeared against Mayer in the previous round, can cause a problem for him.
