Finally, Isner dealt with crunch moment jitters to beat the defiant Belgian Xavier  Malisse and secured his berth in the second-round of the 2012 US Open. The top American made the most of his probing serve, as he mustered 89% points on his first serve and hammered 20 aces to win this duel in four grueling sets. Isner also hammered 59 winners to keep the momentum in control, when it was required the most.  Malisse played well but today was not his day.
