Two time defending champion Venus Williams has been in a kind of form which can neither be easily described nor can be associated with such a high profile player. Williams ended the 2008 season in flying colors with a win at the season-ending WTA Championships in Doha. However, since the start of the 2009 season, Venus has managed to pick two titles in Dubai and Acapulco only.
