In a nerve-wracking match that lasted over one and a half hours, 4 time champion Serena Williams out fought World No.2 Victoria Azarenka to make her seventh Wimbledon final. The first set was a lot more lopsided than the second, as the American broke Azarenka's serve early and the Belarusian could never get a look in on her serve. The second however was absolutely intense with some exhilarating tennis from both the players. Both players looked up for the occasion and the hunger to win was very visible. In the end though, it was Serena's grit and her serve that carried the American through. She fired an amazing 24 aces which was clearly the difference. The heart does however, go out to the World No.2, who did so well in the second set to come back from a break down to break the immaculate serve of the American. She was unlucky to fall short in the end.

And, here we are in a tie-breaker here! Tremendous hold from Serena this time, as she outsmarts the World No. 2 with her swift movement on court and then smacks an ace to take this second-set duel to a tie-breaker.
