SERENA ECLIPSES VENUS......! In a match that saw the shotmaking brilliance from not one but both the players, Serena outmuscled sister Venus to win the 2009 Wimbledon Ladies Singles title. Serena started the match on a good note, winning a tough tie-break for a one set lead, and took full advantage of an off-day of Venus' serve. With a crucial break in the sixth game, Serena fought off some resistance and pulled the thriller on her fourth championship point. This is Serena's third Wimbledon Singles title and 11th Grand Slam overall.
