Its was a thrilling show put on by both players as they both played a vigorous match. Kvitova did well to push Serena to a tiebreaker in the first set but then faltered as she seemed out of steam. Serena served 4 aces in the second set as it was ll Serena in it. She took a huge amount of points on her serve and also returned wonderfully well. As a result Kvitova could take only 29% of her second serve points. Moreover Serena did not allow Kvitova to even take a break point on any of her service games in the second set and races away with the match in straight sets 7-6, 6-2 within 92 minutes of play
