The match actually was a display of percentage tennis by Ferrer and Isner. The only difference was the approach. Isner seemed to be more comfortable keeping a good percentage of errors in a match that saw several service breaks. The only saving grace for the American was the consistent serve in the second set. A total of 16 aces weren't enough for Isner as he succumbed to defeat in the third set after Ferrer notched double breaks for a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 win.
