In a 75 minute match, Murray completed the formality with a 6-1, 6-2 win as injured Verdasco just couldn't get to the point where there could be any possible comeback on cards. Murray maintained the consistent play and moved ahead with an easy victory. Rafael Nadal's conqueror and Argentina's hope Juan Martin Del Potro will challenge Murray's supreme form at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event in Miami in friday's second semifinal.
