Roger Federer proved to the tennis world why he is one of the best in the business with a come-from-behind nail-biting victory over German Tommy Haas. The match saw Federer struggle with his serve in the first two sets giving away the second after trading breaks. The third set told a totally different tale as Federer clinched a decisive break in the ninth game to serve out the set. Fourth set displayed the domination of the Swiss star and in the fifth, Federer took control from the very start and pocketed the break in the fifth game to get ahead from there and close out a biggest test so far in the 2009 championships. "In a situation like this, you don't really think about whoever is out of the draw or not," said Federer. "You just try to come through yourself, and it's hard enough to stay positive when you're down two sets to love and a break point. "It was a great battle for me, and I'm thrilled to be through and given another chance here."
"Djokovic is out, Nadal is out, maybe Roger was feeling it a little bit knowing that this is maybe a great opportunity for him to win and he puts little extra pressure on him, as well," said Haas afterwards.
