Alejandro Falla, the world number 70 played wonderfully and displayed his ground strokes in a magnificent manner during the set and stretched the Swiss to a tie-breaker, but gradually disintegrated in the second and the third set with predictable first serves and increasing number of unforced errors. But nothing should be taken away from Roger Federer as he put up yet another legendary performance holding his nerve in the first and then serving beautifully in the following sets. Alongside, Federer made progress with quality strokes to obtain vital breaks and won in straight sets 7-6, 6-2, 6-4.
