And, the seven time champion Rafael Nadal reached the third-round of the 2012 Monte Carlo Masters.  Nieminen played well and tested Nadal to a certain extent, but he just could not match up with ferocity and swiftness of Nadal on red-soil. Nadal struggled a bit throughout the match, but he looked absolutely fit and moved well on the court to register this straight sets victory here.
